Back in early 90’s when coffee machines were first making an appearance on the retail market it was all about pressure. Did the machine have a pressure that was high enough, or optimal, to get all the flavour out of the bean in into the water. That decided which one to purchase.
Now, with advances in technology pressure is no longer an issue. The market has grown, and the range of coffee and coffee derivatives have grown with it. We have pod coffee, bean to cup coffee, ground coffee, capsule coffee, filter coffee – it’s mind boggling. Everyone is selling them and they all have an opinion on them too.
So how were we going to tackle this huge and popular subject! We looked at ranges and prices online and in stores. We saw that Currys PCWorld with 188 coffee machines in stock was not as big a selection as one supplier with 275 machines to choose from. But surly it’s enough. We loved the ones over £1,000 but that’s not what we’re looking for, not today anyway. We decided to review the top 5 by customer rating at Currys PCWorld.
They guarantee that theirs will be the best price. Their machines are rated by people like you and I who have already purchased, tried and tested them for us. We found machines at double the price we saw at Currys elsewhere for the same machine.
